Piece 2 — Amazon listing pack, 3 products (English, Home & Kitchen)

A finished deliverable, not a mock-up. This is what a client receives when they order the 3-listing pack: a flat file they can upload, a readable document they can review, and the conformance report that proves every field fits inside Amazon's limits.

Why the conformance report is the point

Amazon silently truncates a title over 200 characters, ignores everything past 250 bytes of backend search terms, and does not display a sixth bullet. Sellers rarely check. The report measures all of it.

One check is worth explaining, because it is the one nobody runs: backend search terms must not repeat words already in the title. Amazon has already indexed the title. Every word you repeat in the 250-byte backend field is a byte you have thrown away.

That check failed on the first pass of this very lot — all three listings were recycling title words into the backend field, wasting 34, 41 and 29 bytes respectively. It was caught by the script, not by re-reading. That is exactly the failure mode the report exists for, and it is why the report ships with every order rather than staying in the workshop.

Final state: 3 listings, 0 failed checks.

Honesty about this pack

"Norderi" is an invented demo brand. No real brand is represented, and nobody commissioned this lot — it is a sample built to show format and writing level, not a client reference.

The writing takes a deliberate position: every listing states what the product is bad at. The cutting board is not dishwasher safe and will warp if left flat and wet. The 61 HRC knife chips if you scrape it sideways or hit bone. The pepper mill clogs on fine table salt. On Amazon this is not a concession, it is a returns-rate strategy: the reviews that sink a listing are almost always from buyers who expected something the listing let them expect.

Bullet points

  1. END GRAIN, NOT EDGE GRAIN — The knife edge slides between the wood fibres instead of cutting across them. Your blade stays sharp two to three times longer, and the board closes over its own cut marks instead of scarring. This is the construction professional kitchens use, and the reason it costs more than a flat-glued board. (326 characters)
  2. 1.5 INCHES THICK, 8.4 LB — Heavy enough that it does not travel across the counter when you are breaking down a chicken. Four recessed silicone feet lift it 4 mm off the surface so air circulates underneath and the underside dries instead of cupping. (250 characters)
  3. REVERSIBLE: GROOVE UP OR FLAT DOWN — One face carries a 6 mm juice groove that holds roughly 90 ml, enough for a resting roast. Flip it for a clean flat surface for dough, cheese or plating. Two boards in one, and you are not cross-contaminating raw meat onto your bread side. (276 characters)
  4. 16 x 12 IN FITS A REAL CUTTING TASK — Room for a whole chicken, a full head of cabbage, or three onions and a pepper at once without pushing pieces off the edge. Still fits a standard 24 in counter and slides into most lower cabinets on its side. (246 characters)
  5. READY TO USE, EASY TO KEEP — Arrives pre-finished with food-grade mineral oil and beeswax, plus a 30 ml bottle of the same oil. Hand wash in warm soapy water, towel dry, stand on edge. Re-oil monthly. Never put it in the dishwasher — no wooden board survives one, and that is not a defect. (289 characters)

Product description

A cutting board is the one kitchen tool you touch every single day, and the one most people replace every two years because they bought a flat-glued edge-grain board and it split.

This one is built end grain: 312 individual walnut blocks stood on end and glued face to face, so the surface you cut into is the open end of the wood fibre. The blade parts the fibres and they close again. That is why end-grain boards are gentler on knives and why they do not develop the permanent knife scars that trap moisture and bacteria.

Black walnut was chosen over maple for hardness in the right range. At 1010 lbf on the Janka scale it is hard enough to resist gouging but softer than hard maple (1450 lbf), which means it is kinder to a Japanese blade at 15 degrees. It is also closed-grain, so it absorbs less liquid than oak.

Construction: 312 blocks, titebond III waterproof food-safe adhesive, 1.5 in finished thickness, hand-sanded to 220 grit, chamfered edges, finished with food-grade mineral oil and beeswax. Four recessed silicone feet. Two integrated finger grips on the short sides so you can lift 8.4 lb without pinching it against your body.

What it is not: it is not dishwasher safe, it is not suitable for being left wet, and it is not the right board if you want something you can throw in a drawer. It is a 20-year board that asks for five minutes of oil a month.

Customer questions

Will it warp?

Not if you dry it standing on edge and re-oil monthly. Warping in end-grain boards comes from one face drying faster than the other, which is exactly what happens when a wet board is left flat on a counter. The silicone feet exist for this reason.

Is walnut safe for food?

Yes. Black walnut is a closed-grain hardwood with no food-safety restrictions. The tree-nut allergen concern applies to the nut, not the timber; no walnut protein is present in the wood.

Can I cut raw meat on it?

Yes, on the grooved side, then wash with hot soapy water. Wood is not less hygienic than plastic — its capillary action draws bacteria below the surface where they die off, whereas plastic knife scars hold them at the surface.

Bullet points

  1. VG-10 CORE AT 61 HRC — The cutting core is VG-10 stainless, hardened to 61 on the Rockwell C scale and clad in 66 layers of softer steel. Hard core holds the edge; soft cladding absorbs shock so the blade does not chip. This is a real san-mai construction, not a stamped blade with an etched pattern printed on it. (314 characters)
  2. 15 DEGREES PER SIDE, NOT 20 — Sharpened on a whetstone to a 15 degree edge, the Japanese standard, against the 20 degrees of a typical German knife. A narrower angle means less force and cleaner cuts through tomato skin, fish and herbs. Steeper angles are more durable; this one trades a little durability for a lot of sharpness. (329 characters)
  3. FULL TANG, 7.8 OZ, BALANCED AT THE BOLSTER — The steel runs the whole length of the handle and is triple-riveted. The balance point sits right where your pinch grip lands, so the knife feels lighter than it is through a long prep session. (238 characters)
  4. STABILISED PAKKAWOOD HANDLE — Resin-impregnated hardwood laminate: it will not swell, crack or harbour bacteria the way an untreated wood handle does, and it keeps grip when wet, which a polished plastic handle does not. (220 characters)
  5. SHEATH AND CARE GUIDE INCLUDED — Ships with a moulded blade guard for drawer storage and a one-page honing guide. Hand wash and dry immediately. Do not put it in a dishwasher and do not use it on glass, stone or bone — a 61 HRC edge is hard, and hard means it chips rather than rolls. (284 characters)

Product description

Most knives sold as 'Damascus' are a pattern etched onto a single piece of steel. This is not one of those. The blade is three-layer san-mai: a VG-10 stainless core hardened to 61 HRC, wrapped in 33 layers of softer stainless on each side. The wave pattern you see is where those layers meet. If you sharpen it down over ten years, the pattern is still there, because it is structural.

Why VG-10: it holds an edge close to carbon steel while staying stainless, which matters if you are not going to oil a knife after every use. At 61 HRC it is meaningfully harder than the 56 to 58 HRC of most European chef knives — roughly twice the edge retention in practice — and it accepts a 15 degree bevel that softer steels will not hold.

The trade-off is honest and worth stating: hard steel chips. If you scrape a 61 HRC blade sideways across a board to sweep onions, or cut into a chicken bone, you will take a piece out of the edge. Use the spine to sweep, use a wooden or composite board, and this knife will outlast the kitchen it lives in.

Specification: 8 in (203 mm) blade, 2 mm spine, 52 mm heel height, 12.9 in overall, 7.8 oz, triple-riveted full tang, stabilised pakkawood scales, moulded sheath included.

Customer questions

How often does it need sharpening?

Hone on a ceramic rod weekly, sharpen on a whetstone every 4 to 6 months with daily home use. At 61 HRC it holds roughly twice as long as a 57 HRC European knife between sharpenings.

Can I sharpen it in a pull-through sharpener?

No. Pull-through sharpeners are set to around 20 degrees and will grind away the 15 degree bevel, and their carbide wheels tear hard steel. Use a 1000/6000 whetstone or a professional service.

Is it left-hand friendly?

Yes. The edge is symmetrical (50/50 bevel), unlike a traditional single-bevel Japanese knife. The handle is a symmetrical octagon-rounded profile with no thumb scallop.

NRD-PPM-12 — Norderi Pepper Grinder

Primary keywordpepper grinder adjustable

Browse nodeHome & Kitchen > Kitchen & Dining > Pepper Mills
Price$34.90

Bullet points

  1. CERAMIC BURR, NOT STEEL — A ceramic grinding core will not corrode, will not blunt against hard peppercorns, and does not transfer a metallic note to the spice. It also handles wet spices such as sea salt and dried herbs, which a carbon steel mechanism will rust through in months. (281 characters)
  2. SIX SETTINGS YOU CAN ACTUALLY FEEL — A knurled dial at the base clicks through six positions from 0.3 mm fine dust to 1.8 mm coarse crack. The clicks are detented, so you can set it by feel in the dark and return to the same grind every time, instead of guessing on a smooth screw. (281 characters)
  3. TOP REFILL, NO DISASSEMBLY — Twist off the cap and pour. You are not unscrewing the base over a bowl and spilling half of it on the counter. The 60 ml chamber holds roughly 45 g of black peppercorns, about two months of normal cooking. (235 characters)
  4. 8 INCHES OF LEVERAGE, ONE-HANDED — Tall enough to grip and twist against the table with one hand while the other stirs. Stainless steel body with an acacia collar, 12.3 oz — it has enough mass to stay put rather than skid. (222 characters)
  5. CLEAR WINDOW, SO YOU KNOW BEFORE YOU RUN OUT — A vertical acrylic strip down the body shows the fill level at a glance. Small thing. It is the difference between refilling on a Sunday and discovering an empty mill mid-service. (226 characters)

Product description

Pre-ground pepper loses most of its aromatic oils within about thirty minutes of grinding. That is the entire argument for owning a mill, and it is why the grinding mechanism is the only part of a pepper grinder worth paying for.

This one uses a ceramic burr rather than the hardened carbon steel found in cheaper mills. Ceramic is harder than peppercorn husk by a wide margin, so it does not dull, and it is chemically inert, so it does not corrode when you grind damp sea salt or dried thyme. Steel mechanisms are cheaper and grind slightly faster; they also rust, and a rusted mill is a thrown-away mill.

The adjustment is a detented dial rather than the usual friction screw on the cap. Six positions, 0.3 mm to 1.8 mm. Fine for a cream sauce where you do not want grit; coarse for a steak crust. Because the positions click, setting three today is the same as setting three next week.

Body: 304 stainless steel with an acacia hardwood collar, 8 in tall, 2.2 in diameter, 12.3 oz. Chamber 60 ml. Top-loading cap. Cleaning: wipe the exterior, tap the mechanism clear, never wash the burr — ceramic is fine with water but the wooden collar and the chamber are not.

Customer questions

Can I use it for salt?

Yes. The ceramic burr is inert and will not corrode. Use coarse sea salt or rock salt, not fine table salt — fine salt packs and clogs any burr mill.

Why is my grind inconsistent on the coarsest setting?

Coarse settings on any burr mill produce a wider particle spread by design; the burr is cracking rather than milling. If you need uniform coarse pepper, use setting four rather than six and grind slightly longer.

Is the wood collar dishwasher safe?

No, and neither is the body. Water gets into the acacia and into the chamber, where it will cake the pepper. Wipe the outside with a damp cloth and tap the mechanism over a bin to clear it.
